An event of epic hip-hop proportions took place last night (Jan. 9). At Slick Rick’s 50th birthday bash in Brooklyn, Nas joined the legend on stage to perform his classic, “Children’s Story.” Clad in Slick Rick’s signature, a healthy amount of gold chains, the Queens emcee (and legend in his own right) rocked out to the 1988 jam, drink and two-step included.
Later, Nas posted a birthday message to Slick Rick on Instagram, writing “HAPPY BDAY SLICK RICK THE RULER!!!!!!!!” He also presented Slick Rick with a crown-shaped birthday cake.
