Today's the first day since his self-imposed media blackout that Manny Pacquiao will be around to speak to reporters again. As part of his scheduled media day, he'll be available at Wild Card Gym in Los Angeles, where a new piece of equipment is hanging in his training space: a speedbag painted withFloyd Mayeather's face on it. Rather bizarrely, Robert Shapiro, the attorney who beat O.J. Simpson's murder charge in 1995, presented the gift to Pacquiao and trainer Freddie Roach at the gym:

Exclusive: Mumia Abu-Jamal Releases New Prison Radio Commentary on Walter Scott Shooting

Imprisoned journalist and former Black Panther Mumia Abu-Jamal has spoken out from a prison infirmary about the police killing of Walter Scott in South Carolina. Abu-Jamal, who is seriously ill at SCI Mahanoy, rose from his infirmary bed to record the commentary after a fellow prisoner wheeled in a TV so he could watch coverage of the shooting. In a Democracy Now! exclusive, we air an excerpt from Abu-Jamal’s Prison Radio commentary about Michael Slager, the now-fired police officer who shot Scott during a traffic stop. "Is he a punk? A predator?" Abu-Jamal asks. "Or what Huey P. Newton called 'a pig'?" Abu-Jamal’s supporters say he remains severely ill after he was hospitalized recently for diabetic shock. Today his supporters have called a national day of action with protests in 10 cities to demand he be allowed to see a diabetes specialist. Abu-Jamal is in prison for the 1981 murder of Philadelphia police officer Daniel Faulkner, but has always maintained his innocence. Amnesty International has found he was deprived of a fair trial.

Made in China: Why You Shouldn’t Eat Tilapia!

Made in China: Why You Shouldn’t Eat Tilapia!

There is a major rise in the United States in the popularity of cheap seafood from abroad.  While there is nothing wrong with some smoked salmon produced in Norway, other types of fish that enter the country are not as healthy as people believe them to be.  One of the biggest growing sales of fish in the US belongs to fish like tilapia, basa and swai.  With cheap price tags this fish seems like a great deal, but there may be more to it.

The first issue with these fish is how they are produced.  Tilapia, basa and swai are all fresh water fish.  Tilapia variants can be found in fresh water bodies throughout the world.  Basa and swai on the other hand are found in the Mekong River in Vietnam.  All of these fish variants have very small wild caught industries, but they are used primarily for local markets at their point of origin.  The majority of exported fish of these variants comes from commercial farming in South East Asia, primarily from nations like China, Vietnam and the Philippines.  All of these fish are mass-produced in crowded aquaculture tanks and are fed soy-based foods, if they are lucky.  Being bottom feeders and filter feeders these fish will consume any waste or contaminants that enter the water, and I mean anything.  I am going to let your imagination take over for that one.  In order to keep the fish alive until harvest they are continuously fed antibiotics in order to thwart off disease that can kill the entire stock.  Sure there is organic production of tilapia in the US, but it consists of less than 1% of all tilapia sold in the US.  It is also nearly impossible to recognize US produced tilapia unless properly labeled as such.

Watch What Happens Inside Your Stomach When You Eat Instant Noodles?

Instant noodles are a popular go-to lunch or dinner for those who are strapped for time (or cash), like college students. While you probably don’t consider them a health food, you may think they’re not that bad, or, at least, not as bad as eating a burger and fries or a fast-food burrito.
In a first-of-its-kind experiment, however, Dr. Braden Kuo of Massachusetts General Hospital may make you reconsider your love of instant noodles (assuming you have one).
He used a pill-sized camera to see what happens inside your stomach and digestive tract after you eat ramen noodles, one common type of instant noodles. The results were astonishing…

Is it Healthy to Have S*x During Menstruation?

Is it Healthy to Have S*x During Menstruation?

Having sex on your period is absolutely safe. The myth that it’s dangerous originates largely from religious texts. Many people wrongly believed that women were “dirty” or “unclean” while menstruating, and for this reason, contact with menstruating women was limited or forbidden entirely. In fact, some religions still adhere to these practices; however, medically and secularly speaking, there is no reason not to have sex on your period.
In fact, sex while you are menstruating can help ease the symptoms of premenstrual syndrome, or PMS. Many women say that orgasms can ease their cramps and the orgasmic contractions of the uterus offer a soothing internal massage. Also, orgasms release endorphins, natural painkillers and mood enhancers, which can help soothe the cramps, headaches, mild depression, and irritability sometimes associated with periods. Many women enjoy sex more when they are menstruating because of increased feelings of fullness in the pelvic and genital areas, which offer a head start on arousal.
There is one caveat, though: Safe sex is even more crucial during your period. Your risks of sexually transmitted diseases and infections are higher than normal during this time because the cervix opens to allow blood to pass through. Unfortunately, this creates the perfect pathway for bacteria to travel deep inside the pelvic cavity. You are also more likely to pass on blood-borne diseases like HIV and hepatitis to a partner during your period and more likely to develop yeast or bacterial infections because the vagina’s pH during menstruation is less acidic. Finally, there is still a chance that you could get pregnant during your period (unless you’re on the pill), so don’t assume it’s safe to forgo contraception.
Here are some tips to have safe, enjoyable sex during your period:
No muss, no fuss. If you are worried about staining your sheets, you can lay a towel down underneath you. You can also take things to the bathroom and have sex in the shower or the bathtub. Not only will it be a sensuous and exciting change from the norm, but it will also help to wash any blood away.
Maintain your sex appeal. Sometimes when that time of the month rolls around, all you want to do is throw on your old sweats, lie on the couch, and gorge on feel-good snacks like ice cream and brownies. Unfortunately, foods such as these will only serve to make bloating and cramps worse, and lead to lethargy that will only add to your bad mood. Instead, commit to maintaining your sex appeal during your period. Some women claim that they feel sexy and powerful during their periods, so tap into that side of yourself and go out for a night of dancing. Getting active will help to keep your mind off your cramps, and your partner won’t be able to resist your sensual moves.
Remember, your period doesn’t have to slow down your sex life!

Justin Bieber & Kendall Jenner Gettin' VERY 'Friendly' Or Totally Bangin'

Justin Bieber and Kendall Jenner play by different rules than most of us -- or they're just straight up banging ... because 'just friends' don't take pics like this.
Biebs certainly loves his puppies because he spent a romantic day out near Coachella with three of his current favorites ... he posted the disgustingly cute photos with Kendall and Esther.
Check out JB's hand -- friends don't go for the waist touch, and neck sniff just for fun. In other words ... if this isn't for a magazine cover -- pretty sure they're screwing.
Or maybe just screwing with us.
